Curved Kitchen Island

The Challenge

This curved island was made for a more moden range under the Chalon brand. It was fun creating something with a classic feel combined with a modern twist.

Material Mix

The mix of materials combined practicality and interest to this room. Yet to be installed are the marble effect quartz tops as a practical working surface, combined with the warmth of the chunky oak. The internally lit glass cupboards provide a showstopping display of glassware as well as ambient lighting for evening meals. Lighting under the island highlighted the beautiful wooden base which gave foot space for guests on stools as well as additional storage/display.

Storage

The large larder unit will house an American Style fridge/freezer, stacked ovens and pantry unit with internal drawers, spice racks and shelves. The sink run houses a dishwasher, wine rack and overhead cupboards for crockery storage.
